Utah Web Developer · BleylDev

If you need a Utah web developer,

I'm Bo. I'm a senior engineer based on the Wasatch Front. I build custom websites for Utah small businesses — plumbers, dentists, law firms, contractors — and I handle everything after launch for a flat monthly fee. No templates. No disappearing acts. Still comparing options? How to hire a Utah web developer covers questions, pricing signals, and red flags before you book anyone.

All-in maintenance — hosting, updates, support

SLC → STG

Real Utah service area, Wasatch Front and beyond

Most Utah small-business websites have the same three problems.

I've looked at hundreds of Utah business sites over the years. The problems repeat. If yours has any of these, you're leaving money and search rankings on the table.

It was built by someone who's gone now.

An agency handled the build, charged $8,000, and now nobody answers the phone. The site is two years old, hasn't been touched since the last WordPress update broke something, and you're not sure who even controls the hosting anymore. This is the most common story I hear from Utah business owners.

It's a Wix or Squarespace template.

Template sites look like template sites — and customers notice, even if they can't explain why. They also load slower than custom-coded sites, have real SEO limitations baked in, and can't be taken further than the platform allows. At some point, you've rented yourself into a corner.

It has no local SEO signals whatsoever.

If someone in Draper searches "plumber near me" and your site doesn't come up, you don't exist to them. Most Utah business sites have no schema markup, no Google Business Profile optimization, no city-specific content, and no local keyword signals. Google doesn't know where you are.

What you actually get when you work with a senior engineer who lives in Utah.

Custom code, local SEO, and maintenance — without the agency markup or the DIY ceiling.

Custom, not templated

Your site looks like your business. Not like everyone else on Squarespace.

Before

Same template as everyone else

After

Built for your brand only

I write real code for every project. No drag-and-drop builders, no premium themes, no template shortcuts that come back to bite you six months later when the plugin breaks. Custom means your brand, your layout, your conversion logic — built exactly the way your business needs it.

  • Fast by default — no bloated plugins slowing things down
  • Unique to your business — looks nothing like your competitors
  • No licensing fees or platform dependencies
  • You own it outright from day one

Maintenance included

You don't have to think about your website after it goes live.

Before

Launch-day handoff

After

Still here next month

Most developers hand you a finished site and disappear. I stick around. Hosting, uptime monitoring, security patches, content updates, small design changes — all covered in your flat monthly plan. One person, one rate, no surprises and no tickets.

  • Monthly plan from $59, all-in
  • Managed hosting on fast, reliable infrastructure
  • No hourly billing for routine updates and changes
  • Direct access to the engineer who built it

Local SEO built in

I build sites that tell Google exactly where you are and who you serve.

Before

Invisible in local search

After

City-ready on Google

LocalBusiness schema, Utah geo-modifiers, Google Business Profile review, NAP consistency — it's all part of the standard build, not an upsell. A site without proper local signals doesn't rank for searches in Salt Lake City, Provo, or St. George. I make sure yours does.

  • LocalBusiness JSON-LD schema on every page
  • City-targeted on-page content and keyword signals
  • Google Business Profile audit included at launch
  • Core Web Vitals optimized — LCP, INP, CLS all pass
I build sites that tell Google exactly where you are and who you serve.
One person who answers

There is no account manager between you and the work.

Before

Tickets & handoffs

After

One engineer end-to-end

At an agency, you talk to a salesperson, then a project manager, then a junior developer who inherited the file and doesn't know why the nav broke. With me, you have my number. I built it, I maintain it, and I answer for it. If something goes wrong at 9pm on a Tuesday, you know exactly who to call.

  • Direct communication — no ticket queues or support portals
  • Fast turnaround on questions and small fixes
  • Honest advice, even when it's not what you want to hear
  • No handoffs to unfamiliar team members mid-project
There is no account manager between you and the work.

I specialize in the industries that actually run Utah.

Knowing web development isn't enough. Knowing that a plumber's call-to-action works differently than a wealth advisor's — that's the difference between a site that converts and one that just sits there and looks nice.

Plumbing

Emergency calls and after-hours jobs — your phone number and “call now” need to win on mobile, every time.

Plumbing checklist →

Roofing

Storm season and insurance jobs move fast. Before/after photos and a one-tap estimate form turn searches into leads.

Roofing checklist →

Electrician

License, service area, and trust signals up front — plus clear paths for panel upgrades, EV chargers, and emergency work.

Electrician checklist →

HVAC

Tune-ups in spring, furnaces in fall — your site should rank when demand spikes and make booking the obvious next step.

HVAC checklist →

Auto Body

People search by neighborhood and insurer. Show repair quality, turnaround, and a frictionless estimate request.

Auto Body checklist →

Landscaping

Portfolio-heavy niches need fast galleries and seasonal offers — and local SEO that matches how Utah homeowners search.

Landscaping checklist →

Fencing

Material comparisons, linear-foot quoting, and gallery proof — help homeowners compare you before they ever pick up the phone.

Fencing checklist →

General Contractor

Before-and-after galleries, clear scopes, and a quote form that respects how busy GCs and subs actually work.

From "I need a website" to live and ranking — in four weeks.

You'll never wonder what's happening or when. Here's exactly how every project runs.

01

Week 0, 20 minutes

Discovery call

Free call. No slide deck, no sales pitch. I ask about your business, your customers, what your current site is doing (or not doing), and what you actually need. If I'm not a fit for your project, I'll tell you and point you somewhere better.

02

Week 1

Strategy and content

I send a short strategy document — sitemap, keyword targets, page structure, and exactly what I need from you: photos, copy direction, brand assets. You review and approve before anything gets built. No surprises in the build phase.

03

Weeks 2–3

Build and iterate

Custom design and development happens on a private staging link. You see real progress every few days. We refine as we go. There's no 30-day silence followed by a big reveal — by the time we launch, you've already seen every page.

04

Week 4

Launch and local SEO

The site goes live. Schema markup, sitemap, and Google Business Profile get wired up on launch day. I hand you a dashboard login, a short walkthrough video, and my number. Then the monthly plan kicks in and I keep it running.

About Bo

Utah-first engineering, without the agency theater.

I'm a senior engineer living on the Wasatch Front. I work with Utah owner-operators who want a site that loads fast, ranks locally, and never turns into a science project when something needs to change.

I don't resell templates, and I don't hand you off to a bench team after kickoff. You get the same person from discovery through launch and into the monthly plan — which is how small fixes actually get done on time.

If you're comparing a Utah web developer for a real business site, book a short call. If I'm not the right fit, I'll tell you plainly and point you somewhere better.

Pricing

Pay the hourly rate or the flat fee — whichever costs you less.

We track our build hours honestly. If your project comes in under our flat rate at $125/hr, you only pay for the hours. Simple as that.

How the guarantee works

A typical 5-page site takes us 6–8 hours. At $125/hr that's $750–$1,000. If your build takes 6 hours, you pay $750 instead of $1,000. If it takes 9 hours, you still pay the $1,000 flat rate. You always win.
